Everything Seattle Has to Offer
Seattle is certainly a destination for many travelers. It is located near the ocean and near the mountains, Mount Rainier in particular, and that draws many people for the natural beauty. The city is also a hive of entertainment and activity, of nightlife and excitement, and many people come to experience the unique culture and the wonderful food. No matter what one's reason for coming to Seattle, the city will offer something. In the end, one will leave having loved the city and the people there, and will want to get back as soon as it is possible to do so.
As far as food is concerned, Seattle is renowned for their excellent seafood. This is all fresh and usually not that expensive, as Seattle's proximity to the ocean means that seafood does not have to be frozen and shipped in. One of the best seafood restaurants is The Crab Pot Seafood Restaurant and Bar. They offer a wide variety of food, so those along that do not enjoy seafood can eat burgers, sandwiches, and salads. They offer seafood in all of its traditional forms, as well as grilled. Their specialties include "The Cove," a mix of steamed clams, shrimp in their shells, mussels, and other items, and "The Westport," which contains dungeness crab and snow crab, among much else. For dessert, the restaurant offers a generous portion of Mud Pie that will ensure any meal is finished off right.
The entertainment scene in Seattle is alive and thriving, with casinos and venues for live shows, music, and movies. One of the premiere casinos is the Snoqualmie Casino, just minutes down the expressway. Built in a rustic wooden fashion that is fitting for the state of Washington, the casino offers all manner of slots and table games, with poker and blackjack. They have restaurants within that have been given five stars, a concert venue that people travel miles to attend, a cigar lounge for the connoisseur in smoking delights, and bars outfitted with the best in wines and liquor. One will never be bored, and could find much excitement through winning it big at the game of one's choice. The atmosphere is fun and entertaining, and even without winning, the traveler will find himself or herself wanting to return to order more drinks or see more bands performing on the stage.
For another type of entertainment, Seattle is home to the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. The team, adorned in blue and green, plays in Quest Stadium, said to be one of the best sporting venues. The fans stand beneath a sign that proclaims them to be the legendary "Twelfth Man," and they are both loud and proud each and every game. The city may not have a Lombardi Trophy yet, that coveted football given to the winners of the Super Bowl, but they desire one so badly that going to a Seahawks game while in Seattle will be an experience to remember.
Seattle has a diverse amount of entertainment, and will never be boring. Whether eating at one of the many seafood restaurants, checking out the huge library with a spiraling tower of books, or watching a football game with the thunder of the crowd, one will find that they enjoy every minute of their vacation to Seattle.
